- It's your responsibility to keep your device safe
- Bring your device to school fully charged
- Keep your device off and put away in hallways and locker rooms
- Make sure your device can be EASILY recognized; decal, name, labels, skin
- Follow the Stoplight poster instructions at all times
- When the stoplight is on "Red" , your device should be turned off and put away
- When the Stoplight is on "Yellow", your device should be on your desk and closed or screen down. on "silent" mode
- When the Stoplight is on "Green", your device should be on your desk, in use, following teacher instructions, on "silent" mode
- Students should immediately comply with teacher's request to shutdown or close devices. Failure to comply may result in admin referral.
- If your device is missing, report it immediately
- If your device is damaged, report it immediately
- You will never be required to bring your device to school
- You will have opportunities to use a school owned device if you don't want to bring your device or don't have one to bring
- You will not be required to use any social media sites with your devices as part of the BYOD program
- Use the WAKE-BYOD network in class during BYOD lessons
- Keep food and drinks away from devices.
- There will be disciplinary action if you do not follow the BYOD agreement.
- You may not use your device for personal use (phone calls and texting) in class
- Printers will not be available to use with your personal device
- Your teacher will not "fix" or "troubleshoot" your device if it's not working properly, Your teacher's job is facilitate learning.
